Perfect for little hands and big celebrations!

🧁 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter – softened

  • 1 cup (200g) sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2½ cups (300g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • Colorful sprinkles or edible glitter (optional)

  • Cookie icing or melted chocolate for decorating

  • Eid-themed cookie cutters (crescent moon 🌙, stars ⭐, mosques 🕌, sheep 🐑)

🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cream the Butter & Sugar
In a big bowl, mix the butter and sugar until it’s smooth and fluffy. You can use a spoon, a whisk, or a mixer.

  2. Add the Egg & Vanilla
Crack the egg into the bowl and pour in the vanilla. Stir it all together!

  3. Add the Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add it to your butter mix. Mix until a soft dough forms.

  4. Chill the Dough
Wrap the dough in cling film (or put in a container) and chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes. This helps the cookies hold their shape!

  5. Roll & Cut
Sprinkle some flour on your table. Roll the dough out flat (about ½ inch thick). Use your Eid cookie cutters to cut fun shapes!

  6. Bake the Cookies
Place your cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 8–10 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Let them cool.

  7. Decorate the Fun Way!
Use icing, melted chocolate, and sprinkles to make your crescent moons sparkle and your sheep look extra fluffy!

🥳 Tips:

  • Add food coloring to the icing for fun colors.

  • Let kids decorate their own cookies — it’s part of the fun!

  • Make extra for neighbors or guests on Eid day!
